Noise-reducing Headphones

Supporting regulation in overwhelming environments.

Noise-reducing headphones can help reduce sensory overload in busy or unpredictable environments. They may be useful in settings such as classrooms, community outings, or travel where noise levels can feel overwhelming. These can support regulation and participation when used as part of a broader strategy.

Visual Timer

Supporting transitions and time awareness.

Visual timers can support time awareness and make transitions more predictable. They can be helpful for tasks such as homework, morning routines, or moving between activities. By providing a clear visual representation of time passing, they can reduce uncertainty and support emotional regulation.

Fidget Tools

Supporting regulation through movement and tactile input.

Subtle fidget tools can provide a discreet way to support regulation through movement and tactile input. They may be helpful during seated activities such as schoolwork, meetings, or travel. When used intentionally, they can support focus and emotional regulation without drawing attention.

Weighted Lap Pad

Weighted lap pads can provide calming deep pressure input, which may support regulation during seated tasks or rest periods. They can be useful during activities such as homework, reading, or travel. As with all sensory tools, they are most effective when used as part of an individualised strategy.

Emotion regulation visual charts can help build awareness of feelings and support communication during challenging moments. They may be useful for identifying emotions, discussing coping strategies, and increasing emotional literacy over time. Visual supports can provide structure when emotions feel overwhelming.
